Advanced Coronary and Peripheral Observation Training Course

Return to Course Lobby

As part of Atrium’s continued commitment to providing first class education, Atrium Medical Corporation is proud to partner with Antonis Pratsos, MD and Sean Janzer, MD, and Bryn Mawr Hospital to provide a day of observational physician training.

Drs. Pratsos and Janzer with Bryn Mawr Hospital have created an advanced training program in an effort to provide physicians with greater knowledge and understanding of various techniques in peripheral interventions.

Each training session is 1 day and is limited to an intimate group of 4 to 5 physicians per training. The training incorporates daily live cases combined with detailed discussions of various techniques that can be utilized in the treatment of each patient. The training is an observational experience where qualified operators are observed within the cath lab and trainees are exposed to a series of complex cases.

The goal of the training is to educate each physician on the rationale behind the use of various techniques in peripheral and coronary interventions. Included within the program is clinical use of the ClearWay™ RX local therapeutic infusion catheter. Physicians attending these trainings must be licensed practicing physicians.

Atrium Medical provides technical information on the ClearWay™ RX product and its performance, but is not responsible for the content of the training program.

Physician Selection
As the trainings have very limited space and the trainings are in high demand, physicians that are interested in being trained will be placed on a list. When space is available for a training session a physician will be
contacted to determine if the dates of the anticipated training fit with the physician’s schedule. If the dates are not acceptable the physician is placed back on the list for the next available training.

Please note that not all physicians interested in attending a training session can be accommodated as space is limited.

1. Purchase a flight and FAX a copy of the itinerary to Advanced Training Coordinator at Atrium Medical at 603-882-9749. A physician is not guaranteed a spot until this is completed.

Atrium Medical Corporation will provide reimbursement for allowable, appropriate expenses incurred while attending the trainings. Reimbursement will be in accordance with Atrium, Advamed, state, and hospital guidelines of the attending physician. It is the responsibility of the physician to verify that expenses are in accordance with local guidelines. When appropriate, Atrium will reimburse the physician up to $750 for their transportation expenses upon successful completion of the course.

Atrium will cover the cost of meals, transportation from the airport, hotel room & tax during the training above and beyond the $750 transportation expense. All meals must be modest in nature and in accordance with industry standards.
