FLIXENE™ is a “next generation” composite graft construction that offers exceptional strength, handling and durability. Built from a proprietary biomaterial film lamination process, FLIXENE™ exhibits unequalled kink and compression resistance for improved surgical handling and minimal needle hole bleeding. This extraordinary biomaterial provides unsurpassed burst and suture strength, and is designed to minimize “weeping” often seen with traditional vascular bypass grafts following implantation.

Flixene Configurations

Standard Wall

This configuration of flixene maintains its .9mm wall thickness throughout the entire graft. The exclusive tri-laminate construction reduces hydrostatic pressure eliminating weeping and/or blood strike through and minimizes needle hole bleeding. This unique construction provides the ultimate mechanical solution for your most challenging vascular patients.

Graduated Wall

Atrium offers all the benefits of the Standard wall FLIXENE graft configuration but has added a graduated wall thickness for improved handling and suturability. The wall thickness of this product configuration gradually becomes 23% thinner 7-8cms at the ends of the graft for ease of suturing and increased conformability at the anastomosis without sacrificing strength or kink resistance found in the SW configuration.

Trumpet

FLIXENE™ TRUMPET has been specifically engineered for the surgeon who prefers a larger tapered hood to improve anastomotic flow dynamics. Atrium’s customizable hood allows for surgeons to create an anastomosis that most appropriately suits each patient’s vessel anatomy and/or anastomotic condition. The reinforced three layer hood design can be customized to accommodate a more gradual anastomotic diameter for precise anatomical placement, thus maximizing flow dynamics. FLIXENE™ TRUMPET is available in multiple sizes and configurations to meet various anastomotic needs.

IFG

Specifically designed as an upper arm A-V graft, this new “T” shaped intraluminal placement concept facilitates the insertion of a compression resistant reinforced distal outflow section directly into the vein, providing a faster implantation technique and smooth flow transition into the vein. The IFG is designed to help improve flow dynamics along the distal outflow region and reduce arterialized pressure along the smooth anastomotic AV junction.
