Atrium’s lightweight mesh leads the way in improved biocompatibility
for the repair of surgical defects. While other new market
entries make claims of “thinner low profile construction”,
no competing brand has come close to the handling quality and documented
healing performance of Atrium’s first to market design.
Clinical studies have confirmed that Atrium’s lighter weight
polypropylene mesh provides an improved tissue healing response
that is superior to traditional weight polypropylene meshes. These
same studies indicate that Atrium’s thinner and less dense
mesh can result in a stronger, less rigid repair.
In the field of soft tissue repair, Atrium’s
newest development is the novel C-QUR™ Mesh technology,
combining our industry-leading lightweight ProLite Ultra™ polypropylene
surgical mesh with a proprietary, highly purified Omega
3 fatty acid bio-absorbable coating.
In pre-clinical studies, Atrium’s
inert thin wall polypropylene mesh, paired with a biological fatty
acid chemistry, has demonstrated a minimization of peritoneal tissue
attachment as well as a significant reduction in both foreign body
reaction and inflammation, resulting in a well healed,
reinforced repair. |
