| Innovations in Monofilament Construction |

Atrium utitlizes a unique knit construction whereby its monofilaments are aligned in parallel spaced angles to maximize material flexibility in two dimensions. No bulky "rails" of compacted or flattened filaments, just a smooth and very uniform open architecture. Next we developed a proprietary material process to help "relax and stabilize" the mesh polymer so it responds to flexing and handling without the classic "window shade" memory, commonly found with more traditional, less flexible polypropylene constructions. Surgical mesh and plug innovations evolved from experts in biomaterial science. |
