The Slider™ Graft Deployment System (GDS) is the first prepacked graft tunneling system available. Its patented graft "protection" sleeve and low-profile attachment system enables easy insertion of the graft into a tunnel with a "no incision contact". Atrium has engineered a simple, but very elegant system for tunneling the graft with significantly less trauma and risk of wound contamination. Atrium's prepackaged graft glides through the tunnel with no contact by surgical gloves, surgical instruments or skin surface, maximizing infection protection.

Atrium's novel graft deployment system saves operating time, reduces trauma during installation, prevents "forced wetting" of the graft during tunneling, and is compatible with most hospital-provided tunneling instruments. Clinical studies have confirmed improved patient outcomes, including enhanced patency performance by use of the new Atrium Slider GDS System.

The Slider GDS'™ unique swivel tip attaches the PTFE graft to a tunneler instrument. The threaded end makes it easy to attach the encased graft to the indwelling tunneller, especially in tight spaces, without having to "tie on" the graft with a suture or manipulate it in the wound. The Slider eliminates the possibility of the graft falling off during the withdrawl of the tunneler.
