Tunneling can be one of the most traumatic parts of performing vascular surgery. Atrium designed its vascular tunneler system to minimize the trauma associated with tunneling. By creating a low profile system, the Atrium Tunneler makes a tunnel that is the same size as graft being placed. This eliminates excess space where fluid can build up around the graft and reduces the time necessary for the graft to become incorporated by the surrounding tissue. To minimize trauma, the handle has been designed to provide total control to the physician by having a longer handle with a thumb tab. The "directional" thumb tab allows the physician always know the direction of the tip to more accurately place the tunneler where it needs to be.

The Atrium Vascular Tunneler Set comes in a variety of shapes and lengths. The A-V set for AV grafts has 3 different rods, a unique extender rod, and a set of 8 tunneler tips. The PV (peripheral vascular set) comes with two different tunneler rods and a set of 8 tunneler tips.
